Here's the scenario.

It's a brisk 40 degrees outside and you've been riding long enough so you want to go home. However you spouse or significant other or favorite pet is usually cold and probably has probably set the thermostat to "Core of the Earth" or "Thermonuclear Metldown".

You open the door to your domicile and are immediately greeted with what you consider to be the breath of a dragon. Your skin starts to permeate sweat so fast you fear you will melt if you don't do something soon.

Quickly You....(answer the survey :o)

In all seriousness lately it's been getting more and more cold out and when I come home I usually start sweating pretty quickly. I thought it would be fun, and satisfy some of my curiosity, to see what people take off FIRST when they get home and why :D

I take off my gloves first... cause it's much harder to get the helmet and jacket off with gloves on ;)

I take off my helmet, open the garage door, place the helmet on its rack and park the bike. Next, my gloves, jacket, chaps or textile pants get taken off in the garage before going inside. Finally I take off my boots after entering the house.

Blast! I shouldn't have included gloves. Since I can't delete my own posts either so I'll let this one sit for a month or two and then create one sans gloves :)

I usually flip my visor up first, but always gloves off first then helmet. Its still hot in Florida so I keep my helmet on until I'm at the door. When it gets cooler out the gloves will probably stay on until I'm inside.

Gloves, glasses, helmet, put the glasses back on, take off jacket, in that order. Leather overpants last if I'm wearing them... I learned the hard way the glasses have to come off before the helmet...
