Yeah not very many here. All seem to be on the coasts or in Texas. And I let my membership lapse so I no longer receive Airmail.

Tech Days seem to be very BMW specific. Not sure why. They're a blast.

Just attended one yesterday, hosted by a fellow BMW club member out in the country. He's got a beautiful farm with a guest house that includes a three car garage.

If I hadn't been so brain dead, I would have learned how to do the brake and clutch service on my bike. Instead, I watched and held tools while a fellow did my brake service for me (fluid change). How cool is that?

There is a tech day (BMW of course) in a few weeks on the west side of Michigan. Guy on another forum is hosting. Thinking about heading out to see some things. I'm not exactly mechanically inclined so I think it would be interesting.

I hear they are a good time, and usually great people eager to help.

I never got that impression. I've been to quite a few tech/maintenance days this year with either SCRC, DCsportbikes, monkeyriders, and some V-Strom guys in my area.

There's nothing like watching 30 bikes being taken somewhat apart while throwing some burgers on the grill, drinking a few bottles o' suds and shooting the breeze.

However, I'd never heard of a group detailing party before starting to ride more with "serious" BMW owners
