Woo Hoo! That's the same color as my Meanstreak, and you don't live too far from me either. Cool...

Cheers,
Loonette

How far away are you? I've only seen one other Meanie on the road so far (an orange '02) and with the exception of mine I've never seen another blue one even in the showroom.

A pic from the front:

I'm in Yellow Springs. I bought mine from Competition in Springfield. They had my blue one, an '04 greenie, and an '05 in black. I LOVE the blue - it's the same color as my car as well.

I have the same light bar that you have, and I've added a Mapam sissy bar and luggage rack ( http://www.mapam.it/kawasakie.html ). I also added the Lindby engine/highway bar ( http://www.lindbycustom.com/prod_front.html ) as well as a shorty windshield.

I went to Marysville last year for the Honda Homecoming (I had a Shadow Spirit 1100 then), and I will probably come up for it again this year. Only during the day though, as I work both Friday and Saturday nights that weekend. We should meet up and get a photo of our babies side by side.

Cheers,
Loonette

I've been there (to Competition, I mean). I used to live in Miamisburg and went to Competition Accessories all the time to get stuff for my quad, an '01 Yamaha Warrior.

Any pics? I'd like to check out the shorty windshield. I have the "Fire and Steel" Meanie windshield in the garage. I also have a Mustang passenger pillion and the stock rear foot-pegs in my closet should the need for extra seating ever arise. All told my seat ended up being $800.00 since I first bought the solo with backrest and then added the optional back-seat to put in place of the rear fender bib.

Sounds like a plan! I was there last year, too, but on my '84 Honda NightHawk 700S. I bought my Meanie that very weekend. I am planning a ride to Ocean City some time this summer. My friend and I did Chicago last year...in April...when it was still very chilly out. But it was fun, and gave us a few cool memories.

Here's one pic. It cuts off at the top, but the windshield is only missing by a small bit.

Nice! Looks even better than the Fire and Steel windshield!

BTW, you can move the license plate bracket up quite a bit so people can get a better look at your fat rear tire. There's an ugly reflector between the plate and the light, and the bolt holes for the reflector line up perfectly with the holes on the plate bracket. Remove the reflector, use a drill bit to enlarge the holes a bit (the plate bolts are slightly bigger) and relocate the plate to those holes. No trimming of the tail piece is necessary since the plate covers the excess. I know it's not as cool as the side-mount plate, but I have bags and can't use one of those mounts so...I did the next best thing. Eventually I'd like to replace the light with a high-output LED that I can tuck up under the rear fender, then move the plate even higher to where the light is currently mounted.

Here's an early pic of my bike (before the new fender, mirrors, spoiler, and a lot of my chrome bits) where you can kinda see the plate:
