What kind of gear do you wear when riding?

I wear a helmet(obviously) and one of 3 pairs of gloves, depending on what pair is cleanest and dryest. I also wear a pair of HighPiont boots, Now made by Alpinestar, and a pair of army fatigues with the padding from an old pair of MX pants sewn in. Love the pockets!!!

I also wear a pair of knee and shin quards, a Fox chest protector and a Fox kidney belt. The chest protector is the greatest invention since the helmet, I my view. I can't believe I rode so long without one.

How do you guys dress for battle?

Helmet, snowboots and jacket is all I ever wore until I did a jump that didnt land the way I wanted. I will wear full protctive gear if doing jumps.

I have a cheapo HJC MX helmet, Oakley O Frame MX goggles, Troy Lee Designs Moto over the boot pants, and jersey, combat boots, BMW GS Dual Sport gloves, and Thor knee and shin guards.

So glad I never fell off very hard! Could've been messy.

Yeah, my dad says he always wore a kidney belt..... tried to get me one too but I said no..... I think modern suspention eliminates the need for one.

I would argue that with you, Jordan.

Your body still recieves major internal accellerations(and that can tear organs loose inside, causing what feels like sore gut muscles)) from riding, no matter what your suspension is like. It also supports and protects your lower back, even more so in a crash.

You can't tell me you never bottom the suspension (you should be bottoming once in a while or it's too stiff)..... and no offence, but the suspension on a DRZ-S is hardly state of the art.

I rode till I was 16 without one. When I did start wearing one, I was surprised at how much better I felt the next day and how much longer I could ride before I got tired. And the crash benifits are substantial too.
