It depends upon your interpretation of "MC". If you mean the traditional hardcore 1%'er kind of club, no, I have no experience setting one of those up. However, I have founded several new riding clubs and chapters of existing riding clubs over the years and could give you lots of tips and pointers on that.

I’d stick to a “riding club” and no “rockers” as they tend to antagonize the 1%er type clubs.

Contact your local COC (Confederation of Clubs)...maybe attend a few meetings, and make contact with the local dominant MC (through proper channels) to get their permission.... three things though..

1. Do your homework first (your club plans, intentions, makeup, MC protocal, you rlocal MC scene, etc.).

2. Don't move forward with ANY plans until you have permission from the COC and local dominant. Even if they weren't opposed to your club per say... if they see you have moved on your plans without thier blessing, they might very likely shut you down.

3. RESPECT! You show nothing but respect for the COC and local dominant. The first two things I mentioned actually fall under the category of showing respect. It would be advisable to search the internet for MC protocal on what the MC world is like, how they work, bylaws, and how to interact and coexist with them. Even little things you might not even know or think about like whether or not to shake their hand, how to shake their hand if you do, who to talk to, who not to talk to, eye contact, touching them, speaking first without being spoken to, etc., can make a BIG difference on how you are perceived and treated.

I'm not opening the arguement here on whether or not MC's should be able to have this kind of control over the situation. Agree with the way things are in the MC world or not, but.. if you want to avoid alot of trouble, you better follow the protocal...whether you agree with them or not. Either that or you better be a huge badass and have lots of badass friends.... Thats just the way it is...

Oh and one more thing... Be prepard to hear, "There are enough clubs already. Join one of the existing clubs that will serve your needs."
You will need very good evidence to make your case that your needs won't be adequately served by joining an existing club. You will need to make a very good arguement for the need for yet another club in the dominant clubs territory.

Good luck in your endeavor and let us know how it all plays out.
