On my Nighthawk, I replaced the OEM Dunlop 505 tires at 10K miles (the front could've gone another 2 or 3K). The second set were Bridgestone BT-45s. I had better luck with them than Mydlyfkryzis. The rear lasted 12K miles and the front is at about 13.5K and still looking OK.

I'm still on the original brake pads at around 24K miles. The front disc pads still have a long way to go and the rear shoes look almost new. I've owned several bikes with rear drum brakes and I can't remember ever wearing out a set of rear pads. One bike had 81K miles on it and the rear drum shoes were still good.

Not knowing your riding style, it's going to be as needed for both tires and brakes. I do 56K a year on my bike, and I just watch till the tread is looking thinnish. I do lots of miles on the big slab, so the middle is gone first, but it does not pay to take chances. The stones on my new Nomad went at 6000. Put on Dunlops and they seem to be doing well for my type of riding. Metz's are also good skins. Brakes need to be watched as per how hard you use them..

I get about 9000/3000 miles front/rear respectively out of Dunlop Qualifiers. I get slightly more out of Michelin Pilot Powers 2CT's...

Needed new front pads at 7,000. Back tire was flat at 8,000, just needed a patch. Guy at Las Vegas Charlie's told back tire & brakes were good for a couple thousand more.

I'm hoping that will be somebody else's problem after I trade in the S50 for a new Honda VTX or used Harley SuperGlide.

I have 24k miles on my bike. I need to replace the front pads. the rear tire I got 9k miles on the dunlop 404. The stealer wants $250 for new dunlops installed. F that im gonna buy the pirreli's online and then pay them the $30 to have them mount/balance the tire on the rim. I asked the guy about prices and he quoted me $340 for the pirreli. WTF I can get the tire online for $100.

I use Dunlop 404's, and still have the original set on my 900. I have almost 14000 miles so far. Hubby says it has a lot to do with how I corner, and ride. I tend to agree. His tires go real fast, but they would last longer if he would stop running over glass, bolts, and screws. LOL!

I've never been much for racing but I only used to get about 2~3,000 out of rear tyre on 1977 550 Honda and about 3~4,000 miles out of front tyre and brake pads.
The rear brakes are original, about half worn at 106,000 miles.
My XS650 is getting about 6,000 out of front tyre's but really bad on brakes, 4 th set in 17,000 miles.(no, they are not dragging, just Orlando traffic) rears are still original @27,000miles. Rear tyres about every 4~5,000 miles. I don't go over 80, don't drag race from lights so I guess I'm just hard on stuff
