Looking for the easiest way to find out the avg low and high temp for various US cities. I can easiely the current info or avg highs but not both highs and lows.

Anyone have a web site that can help me? We'll be done some camping and two days a week in a hotel.

Web sites? Thanks

Wikipedia usually includes average temperature charts in its articles about major cities.

Come to South Africa then you need not worry about the weather

At the risk of being cheeky I will advertise the Total Motorcycle weather guide, which can be found on the main site under Travel Guide - Weather:

http://www.totalmotorcycle.com/travel/h ... eather.htm

Unfortunately this won't show you averages but it's a great tool for checking current weather!

Sorry but I don't know of a site that gives you averages for a whole region of cities.

Try http://www.nws.noaa.gov/climate/

I don't know about forecasting beyond a few days though.

I lived in the south for awhile. It's hot and sticky in the summer. How hot and how sticky varies from day to day, but I generally classify it as miserable. I regularly rode into thunderstorms to cool off.

Where and when are you going? I might have some helpful experience to share.

There's an iPhone app called MyRadar that has the most up-to-date radar images I have found. It's handy for up to the minute knowledge of where storms are, like when you can see a thunderhead in the distance and would rather not dance with it. I use it during monsoon season, here, to plan when to ride home from work between cloudbursts.

Try http://www.wunderground.com/

You can look at the current weather and forecast for week out. Click calendar and it will give you the averages you are looking for.

I'll second the vote for Weather Underground. They have a Road Trip Planner on their site that's ridiculously useful, historical lows and highs by day, including average precip and whether a particular day, week of month is more windy than not, more sunny than not, etc.
