I'll hold out for the new 800cc Tiger "cub" adventure bikes: http://www.triumphadventure.com

Countdown timer says 21 days until release, if I'm reading it right.

Ya, it seems to be another release there you found. :D

I just hope Triumph isn't getting ahead of it self, a lot of motorcycle companies did recently by adding too many models to their lineups and increasing R&D, production and distribution costs and are in poorer shape because of it today...

Here's a spy shot of the new Tiger 800. This is the more road-oriented Tiger 800, there's also a Tiger 800 XC which is more off-road. Supposed to be a bored and stroked version of the 675 triple. "Official" unveiling is at the EICMA show in a couple of weeks.

Local Triumph dealer had a 2011 Sprint GT on the floor when I went by yesterday. Sat on it, it's definitely a step in the right direction for me compared to the ST. I could never own an ST, the riding position is just not comfortable for long distances. GT is roomier, the bar position is much better for me.

BUT....

The pegs are too high!! :( There's no way I could ride distance with my knees folded up like that. That's a young man's position, and I ain't a young man no more! I wonder if those pegs can be lowered?

Local dealer had a Tiger 800 XC on the floor on Saturday. But the regular Tiger 800, which is really the one I'm interested in, won't be in until July. :(

(I really shouldn't be looking at first year new model bikes anyway. Always wait until someone else gets the bugs out of the design.....)
