So, do you prefer Leather, textile, or a combination of the 2?

Ans reasons, please!

For me, I wear a textile jacket and Leather trousers.

Why?

Textile jacket as it's more comfy, i feel the armour sits on a better place, and i've found more features that I find useful.

Leather trousers for similar reasons to above, plus I managed to find them in my size! (never easy...)

I own textile pants and a coat, plus one leather jacket. I wear the textile jacket only on the warmest of days, otherwise I remove the panels and insulators in my leather. I like the look and feel of my leather jacket best. I can personally imagine wearing leather pants.

Currently, I only wear textile gear, due to cost and more importantly what is avaliable in my size.

Eventually though, I would like to own gear in leather.

I find both are useful for different riding and time of year. If I wear on a track Id tend to go for the leathers or a day out riding hard. For casual days out and when its warmer I tend to use the textile jacket.

Most of the time I prefer textile. I have a textile jacket that's waterproof, has some nice, removable armor and also a zip-out liner. It's just more versatile than my leather jacket. I have to say though that if I planned a track day I'd go full leather, no question.

It's textiles for me. Leather isn't really my style.

I voted both because I don't mind either.

My gear is a leather two piece, but for my lessons and test I used my friends winter textile gear.

They both have things I like about them and as long as it's got armour I'm happy.

I wear a Textile motorcycle jacket for my everyday riding. It is a Ballistic Joe Rocket 2.0 jacket in BRIGHT YELLOW. I like the textile jackets because they are very waterproof, offer great ventilation and are not heavy or hot on a hot day. My jacket even offers padded armor and reinforced kevlar shielding. The yellow really helps with other drivers seeing you.

I did crash test this textile motorcycle jacket in a high speed crash. And not only did it survive with minor scrape damage but it is still fully useable today!

For gloves I wear leather as I find the textile gloves to be a bit bulky at the moment.

Textile motorcycle riding gear has really come a long way in the last 10 years.

Mike.

Textile gear, Joe Rocket ballistic 3 jacket + pants, vented with liner. Comfy from 30sF to mid 70sF in one configuration or the other. Also for the hot weather I have Joe Rocket mesh jacket and pants are coming as soon as I can afford them .

Another old poll that many have not had the chance to be a part of - so please let's hear from others.
