That's what I took from this as well. And why is it that when something is to be degraded, it has to become "girlie". The majority of women I know are strong, mature, and handle conflict quite well.

One of the best qualities of the culture here at TMW is the ability of most of the members to show some sort of respect towards each other. That doesn't mean that you're going to agree with everyone. And maybe some people are more sensitive than others. So what? You were called out for making a rude statement about another member "being out of shape". You put out your opinion, and others put out their opinions. Maybe you're being too sensitive?

You know until I read the responses I didn't realize that would be perceived as a bad thing. I'm not known for my rosy view of life, but I thought of Bubba's remark as more of an observation than a put down. . . maybe I'm just being naive.

Edit: Where's the "Hell yeah! Woo Hoo!" choice?

Bubba, did you get your but in the sling again?

It's a PC world.

Just a bit too much 'political correctness' going on here lately. Everybody seems to be getting their feelings hurt and crying to Mommy.
Maybe it's because the "Mommies" have taken over running the forum.

(Hope I didn't offend anyone) :frusty:

So you are saying you don't like the way things are going? Just trying to make sure the message is clear.

Since when can't people take constructive criticism? Since when aren't we allowed to speak our own minds?
The "newbies" come here with no experience and are quite naive about motorcycling . We as experienced riders shouldn't be softening our responses because "we may offend someone". This, no matter how much fun it may be, is a dangerous pastime and we as experienced riders should not be worried about hurting feelings. Most 'men' would not be offended, but you 'ladies' think we must play nice and paint a rosy picture.
Are we children here that need someone, woman or man, telling us "gee, that wasn't very nice", just because someone makes a joke or is a bit sarcastic with someone?
If I can't voice my opinion here then I guess the freedom of motorcycling is a myth, at least as far as this forum is concerned.

There is "constructive criticism" and then there is crticism that gets personal and goes beyond constructive.

While it may be true that a lot of us could stand to grow some thicker skin, the reality is that not everyone is tough as nails like you.

I don't claim to be "tough as nails" as you say. You call me an "A" hole, I get p*ssed off too. If you weight 250 pounds and I tell you, that to ride a 250cc bike you may want to loose a few pounds, I'm not being mean, I'm being real. :frusty:

Well, these two crossed the USA on Honda 50's. If I'm correct they're weights were either side of the 800 mark...

Backed by Honda and Holiday Inn, Benny and Billy rode Honda 50cc mini-bikes cross-country. They took 30 days to ride from New York to Los Angeles.

OK! I give up. Apparently I don't belong here with you new age liberals.
Time to move on. It used to be fun here. It no longer is. :frusty:

Hope you all have a safe and good life.

You ladies can delete me from your web site.
