Well I rode my sister's around for a little bit... She's got an 08. Honestly a very comfortable bike even for my 6'2" 300 lb frame. Less sporty feeling than the Firebolts but about the same as the Lightnings. And if it hauls me around while still in the break-in (under 4K RPM) then I guarantee it'll handle you!

as long as it fits you, thats whats most important!
i hear the price is pretty sweet too!

A good second bike better suited for you would probably be the SV650. You should be able to easily find that used.

I think the Ninja 250 is a great bike, I have one myself and it is my first bike and it is just a blast in the twisties. But to get to your original question I'm 6 feet 2 inches and 230 lbs and it fits me just fine.

I wish I got it when I was looking at them... and for some reason I still want one.

Do these handle highway speeds ok?

That was my only reservation about them.
