I'm considering purchasing a 2005 honda shadow . It has only 750 mi. on it. Is this a good bike to start off with. My first time ! I would like to travel to the shore or the mountains, would this bike handle such a trip? Average miles .... 120 . Thanks ...

What a coinsidence, I too am picking up 05 750 tomorrow, Im 61 years old and have ridden my sons bike for years, I helped him get his back 19988 while he was in the Marine corp.
Differance between a 650 and a 750 is when your goin 75 mph the 650 is screamin 4000 rpm and the 750 is just idealing,lol.
Yes a 750 can handle any road condition easyl even double up.
