Hi everybody, New guy here, I have 92 NightHawk 750 with 19k on the clock; my question is I want a lil more power, I have a Stock turbo from my SR20DET engine (Nissan 240sx) sittin' in my garage I want to Turbo my Night Hawk. Is it worth trying? or will I just blow my engine, I'll probably keep it around 7lbs of boost. On the other hand I could just get some NOS and rejet my carbs. what do you guys think?

Either one would probably destroy the bike rather quickly. Your money would be better spent on a different bike with more power.

What is it, a T3? I'd imagine that'd be way too big for a 750cc motor.

+1 for just getting a faster bike, though a Turbo'd nighthawk would rule.

Yeah, it would probably destroy your engine pretty quick if it even worked... The exhaust might not have enough pressure to even wind it up. On the other hand I know a guy who took an old turbo off of one of the 80s turbo'd bikes and stuck it on a car, because it was designed for a bike the least amount of pressure he could do was something absurd like 18psi of boost...

Yea, it probably would, but that would be soo badass! maybe I'll just punch it out to 1000cc?! I just love the way the bike looks and rides. I rode my buds Zuki Katana.. and like most other crotch rockets, I didn't like the ride position; Is there a "sport bike" that has a more upright position?

I'm not sure what size the turbo is, it is the stock one that came from the SR20DET engine from Japan. When it was on my car, it made about 10 psi, I didn't have a boost controller.
