I used the 05 forwards kit. The 05 shift rod will work, but a bit tight. I bought the longer fancy flat Dyna rod for ther 06. A real ouch on the wallet but nice.

The little plate that holds the old shift lever needed a lil machine work to fit [8D]

Also got the billet pegs and bolts. Had enough on my rewards card for the pegs abd bolts

Next: crome belt guard, battey box.

I have the crome front master cly cover. that is next.

Keith that looks real good. You will really like the forward controls. I am not tall but like the ride with the forward controls. After riding my bike and then getting on one without the forward controls feels awkward now.

Oh, be sure to recheck all your bolts and connections after a few times out. I noticed that the extension for the brake control on my set up was slightly binding where it attaches to the lower portion of the pedal. The little bolt that goes through the bottom of the pedal then though the push rod was slightly binding. I had to use a slightly longer bolt and then put a nut on it. Works great now!

Enjoy!!!

Keith...congrats again. You can tell you ran into a little rain....the rain and dirt from the road are still on your front jug!!! Looks familar to me.....

Also looking at the pics....the front brake rotor...looks smaller...to me? Than previous models??? When I get a chance hook up my old computer...and dig out my pics...I have an awesome one of my 02 FXD......

I am going to assume that you will be buying a traveling bag for that rack? My I suggest a TBAG!! I bought one when I had my DYNA...the sales guy suggested that I buy a universal one...man what a good suggestion that was....because I no long have the DYNA...and the bag works great on my Electra Glide!!!

Not smaller, just mounted differently. The new rotors are similar to those found on sport bikes, although the performance still isn't on par with them.
