Yup...the only difference is now there are saddlebags and a tail bag.
Hey...what can I say.....if you're away from home for 2 weeks you need a lot of stuff.
I purchased more today.
We are in the throes of a heat wave. Unusually hot for this time of year. I brought only thick dark shirts with me. We have to have long sleeves for when we practice stuff in the parking lot....so I bought a couple of lightweight light coloured long sleeved t-shirts....
Normally I would not shop at Wal-Mart, but on a week night and when you're in real need....they were open.

This particular motorcycle school I am attending uses Harley Buell Blast's 500cc's......
Here is my opinion of that particular motorcycle.
The clutch lever is grabby......the shifter is hard to get the toes under to shift, the brake pedal is so little it's easy to miss it when you want to use it....
OK..so they are things that a person would get used to with practice.....
The shuddering and vibrations were horrendous.....the mirrors shake so much it's hard to see what's in them......unless you're stopped.
About the only thing I liked about the Buell was the handlebars. I quite enjoyed their narrowness. After I got back on my own bike to go home, the handlebars felt almost too wide for the first several minutes.
It was a pleasure to get back on my own bike. It felt so smoooooth.
Today was another gruelling day.....I think it was harder than it may have been under more normal conditions. It was so hot it made it hard to work.
Yesterday I bought some SPF 60 sunscreen because my neck was getting too burned. It was actually sore today from the burn from yesterday. I saw a dollar store across from where we parked, so I went in and bought a bandana to protect my neck. If there had been any clue that we would have a heat wave, I would have brought my mesh jacket instead of my usual riding jacket.
Only 2 more days out on the asphalt....
I passed the written test.

Thank you....it is a relief to give my brain and body a rest today. This morning I'm lazing, drinking latte's....
Later today I'll pack my things and head home. I'll have a chance to write about the practical test day then.
I need to buy a new helmet for the purpose of teaching on the range.....the full face makes it too difficult for communication.
