A fine, but apparently little-known mag I've started reading is Friction Zone. It's distributed free at dealerships, or you can subscribe for $30 a year. I'm thinking of subscribing just to give them my support. I stumbled into it when I had to kill time at a dealership last month. They had an interview with Harry Hurt (Hurt Report) with a 25-years-later perspective. It's not a thinly-disguised infomercial for the manufacturers like so many bike mags are.

Join the AMA... I think that American Motorcyclist fits the bill for you. We actually get about 5 magazines, including BMWON and Motorcycle Consumer News, plus CycleWorld, RoadBike and American Motorcyclist.

Of course MCN leans toward the geeky side of riding, and BMWON is well, BMW-ish, the others cover everything else with slightly different 'flavor' to each. All are street riding focused with some eye-candy tossed in for fun.

I read Motorcycle Cruiser frequently, also Cycle World. They're both good.

Sometimes I'll read Motorcyclist. Ocassionally I'll read RoadBike.

I like Roadrunner and Motorcycle Cruiser.

Roadrunner has a lot of rides and routes and is printed on nice paper.
