This video is shot in First Person Perspective and is the PERFECT example of two things

#1. Why not to follow a Vehicle Closely
#2. Why taking your eyes of the road for even a SECOND is bad.

Oh Lordy that was a knee slapper!

Was that a UPS truck?!

Oh, should have put some sort of warning on that link! "warning, make sure bladder is empty before proceeding!"

Thanks for the link. :)

At least the guy was wearing a helmet. Still, he didn't seem to be going all that fast. With a crash at that speed, a bit more gear would've helped.

I don't mind catching the attention of those Nice Men in Brown Shorts, but that's going a little far :)

Seriously, this is why using a helmet cam is risky. Thinking about the video you are recording takes your focus away from what is happening. I think even using a GPS on a motorcycle, which I do, is risky since when glancing down at the screen it distracts your attention. Since the speed on the GPS is more accurate than on the speedo, it is tempting to keep checking your speed by looking at the GPS. I wonder if this rider would have been just fine if he hadn't been using the camera. What really escapes me is why he would post this video on youtube.
