Struggling to choose pipes: 2008 VTX1300C

#1 Unread post by Getwild2 »

The only aftermarket pipes I have ever owned were Vance and Hines Longshots that came on a 2002 Honda Shadow Sabre (1100) I once owned. In my opinion the pipes were too loud, that was also the opinion of those I ride with as they always made me ride in the back. I now have a 2008 VTX1300C with stock pipes, I am looking for new pipes but I'm struggling with the decision. Just reading reviews on CruiserCustomizing.com doesn't make me feel comfortable enough to click "buy". I am looking for loud but not too loud, loud enough for others to hear me but not loud enough that I cannot come home at night without waking up the entire neighborhood.

Any times you can give me would be greatly appreciated.

SuperTrapps with adjustable baffles. Louder than stock, but have enough backpressure to improve performance versus straight pipes that just rob your torque.
