Hey Wrider, Congratulations!!!!

:happybikeday:

I'm a wee bit envious though... as you might remember I owned an '06 of the same bike, same colour but I had to sell it waaaaaayyyy too early because we were moving to the UK. If it weren't for the move I would still have and still love that bike today.

I hope you enjoy it as much as I did!!!

(PS: check out my avatar...lol)

Oh yeah I remember! Now I can see why you loved it so much! It's sooooo smooth (except for that engine vibe from 6-8K) and much quicker than it feels! Mine is the same color as yours even! If you ever come this way or I ever get your way, you're more than welcome to ride it!

Ryan, again, a big congratulations on your new Z!

I've rode Andrea's babyZ and other than it's smaller size (for a 6'4" rider) is was a power house! Great handling, great acceleration and really nice look to it too (I even like how Kawasaki did different engine parts in the gold color). The only thing I can remember with it was (as a word of caution):

1. Oil filter. Don't wrench it up too tight or you will find it very difficult to remove.
2. Small gauge electrical wiring near FI area. Careful with that with weather exposure.

Have fun and ride safe!

Mike

I will definitely keep those in mind...
And I have to laugh at your 6'4" comment, because I'm 6'2" and this thing is roomy to me, but then again I've been riding an R6 and RSV1000R all summer, so that's what I'm used to at this point!
I'm definitely with you on the looks. I've always liked naked bikes and the way they did this one is really really nice, especially with the engine color touches.

It really is a fabulous bike, I am so glad you love it! Yes, the vibrations in the 6-8k range are pretty annoying but I tended to ride around 4500 or so anyways. The engine colouring definitely adds to the appeal of the bike!

Note of caution if you have the matte paint job... It's fairly easy to scratch (very very small scratches, but still) so I have two tips: (1) get a tank bra so that your knees don't scratch when you're hugging the tank, and (2) get yourself some "Back to Black" to use as your polish.
