The Riding Game!
I'm part of an FZ6 forum and we've been doing this for about a year. It's pretty fun so I thought I'd bring the game here. Mods, feel free to move this to a different place if need be.
THE BASICS:
Name a place or thing to take a picture with your bike. First person to go out, take, and post the picture picks the next one. Must be a picture taken after the challenge started! Try not to make it impossible. No photochops. If nobody else gets the picture within 48hours the person that picked it can choose a new one. New challenge must be picked when picture of the last one was posted...
RULES:
1) if a challenge is not met after 48hours a new topic is picked by the last winner...
3) your bike should be in ALL pics...
4) after any comment, please put the current challenge at the bottom so everyone can stay up to date.
5) Pictures must be taken AFTER the challenge. Don't cheat, there's no point of cheating... the point is to get out and ride!
I will start and make it easy to get the game rolling...
Take a picture of your bike in the parking lot of your local supermarket...
List of challenges so far:
1. Take a picture of your bike in the parking lot of your local supermarket...
2. Your bike at the lake
3. Your bike with your town's welcome sign
4. Your bike at a coffee shop
5. Your bike on a bridge
6. Your bike near next to a street meat vendor
7. Your bike and a cemetery
8. Your bike with a cop car
9. Your bike in the rain (didn't happen)
10. Your bike at the post office
11. Next Challenge:Your bike - with a hot chick! Or if you are a girl - hot guy. Preferably in Memorial Day spirit - in a bathing suit!
(As this topic has become quite the hit at Total Motorcycle we have decided to make it a sticky - Admin)

haha sorry dean...I'd play along but I'm in the midst of a whirlwind of work (aka 12-14 hour days) until the end of May. It's not until 8:00 - 10:00PM that I get home and we're getting a bit of rain later tonight.

On weekdays this time of year it tends to be dark by the time the bike and I are free to play. Maybe when summer comes I can do this.

At the lake.

Re: The Riding Game!
nice john. i don't live too far from a lake. if no one else takes it i might be able to get this one tomorrow night or saturday.
and i know that some of you don't have a very long riding season. i was hoping there were enough of us on this board who are blessed enough to ride pretty close to year round that we could keep it going until you guys could join in. it's a pretty fun excuse to go riding.
next challenge: your bike at the lake

I think this is a great idea. I'll join right in soon as she is back up and running.

glad to be reading that.csspostal wrote:I think this is a great idea. I'll join right in soon as she is back up and running.
oh, and i forgot to mention. in anticipation of this taking off (i have high hopes) i will update my original post with each new and completed challenge so you don't have to go searching through the thread to see if a new challenge has been done before.
also IMPORTANT: remember to always put the current challenge at the end of whatever post you're making so those reading know what it is without having to fish through the thread.

Re: The Riding Game!
This seems like so much fun. Perhaps I'll get an early easter present from the shop.
*fingers crossed*

Re: The Riding Game!
That FZ6 looks soooo pretty, dean! Hmmm. Raining here now, all-day babysitting tomorrow. (I'm almost in enough of a funk to go out and do this in a cold rain. Almost.)

Re: The Riding Game!
thank ya. and you're going to let a little bit of rain stop you.MZ33 wrote:That FZ6 looks soooo pretty, dean! Hmmm. Raining here now, all-day babysitting tomorrow. (I'm almost in enough of a funk to go out and do this in a cold rain. Almost.)

technically i should be making a new challenge at this point. it's past 48 hours. but because so many of you seem to be in the frozen north, we'll extend these early challenges a few days past the 48 hours to try and get this up and running. otherwise it looks like it's just john and myself.
side note, the last challenge on the fz6 forum was to get someone in an easter bunny costume posing with your bike. one of the guys got a bunny on his bike. very nice picture.

Re: The Riding Game!

It stopped raining, Dean! Besides, I don't mind buckets of rain, if it's warmer. Ask LionLady.

Dang, now I gotta come up with one.

Okay: a coffee shop that is at least 20 miles from your house. (Honor system, of course.)

Re: The Riding Game!
nicely done. and i'm with you... i don't mind being cold. and i don't mind being wet. but cold and wet is something i just can't do.MZ33 wrote:

that's always the tricky part. the fun part is getting out there and having an excuse to ride. then you realize... "dang it, now i have to come up with something."MZ33 wrote:Dang, now I gotta come up with one.
next challenge:
ewww, making us ride a little bit. i like it.MZ33 wrote:Okay: a coffee shop that is at least 20 miles from your house. (Honor system, of course.)
