I say wave back to them but don't wave first. The scooter riders often look like they're hanging on for dear life. They look like totally new bikers in the urban jungle. If you wave first they may feel compelled to respond, then lose control of their bikes.

I wouldn't ever wave first at a scooter, the humiliation of not getting a return wave would be too much.

I always wave first to scooters, I like to see that stunned look on their faces as I go by and they still can't believe I've waved...

I wave to everyone on two wheels and an engine. Especially other girls!

I keep being warned I'll make the mistake of waving at a Harley someday and get the bird instead of a wave but..eh..

..whatever. :kicking:

if anybody waved at me in the atlanta area about 6:30 pm the reason i didnt wave back was the back tire just blowed out at 45mph that is the reason for the fishtailing and sudden offroading experience.

I wouldnt actually lift my hand of the bar and wave, but I certainly would give a good helmet nod to my fellow riders comming toward me no matter what they were on.

Bout the only group of guys i dont acknowledge on the road are outlaw bikers, and I only ignore them cause i cant be bothered having the puss beaten outa me

i ride a harley, and i'll wave at anyone on a motorcycle, no matter where it's made. I know a lot of people that ride harley's, and i don't know a single one that would flip a non-harley off. Some of them might wave with their hand above the handlebar to greet you (and wave below the handlebar to greet other harleys), but they wouldn't flip you off.
