Winter Riding?
I live in Florida so we can ride all year without snow etc. But I was curious do any of you ride when it has snowed? If you do, when do you put your bikes away for the winter, or do you?

Mine are put in to the shed when the streets get too icy to ride but there are a few who tough it out with studded tires or even without! It's not fun for me to ride when it's painful so I don't.

Bikes are ridden any day when the roads are dry and reasonably clear of salt, and the temps are in the high 20's fahrenheit or higher. We have two naked bikes, one half-faired, and one full faired. The naked bikes don't get ridden much below 40 degrees. In south NJ winters are mild enough the bikes never go more than about 3 weeks without running, so we don't winterize.

I've been riding year round since I got my license. As long as the roads are mostly cleared of snow and ice I ride. I managed to ride where the streets had a bit of slush on it and also a few ice spots here and there but I haven't been doing much of that recently and streets that have salt residue don't bother me.
I did ride in the snow before on two wheels and the tires had a good amount of grip until it got past 1 inch and then I had trouble taking off. No more of that until I get a Piaggio MP3, a Ural sidecar rig or an dual sport with some drilled in tire studs.

One thing you can count on: You push a man too far, and sooner or later he'll start pushing back.
