I was wondering how many people here take their bike to a garage for service and or repair, if so do you take it in for a major service or repair or do you take it in for oil changes etc. If you do work on your own, to what extent do you repair your bike. Thanks

I always do all my own work as I buy older bikes that most shops won't work on.
People say I'm stupid and apathetic. I don't know what that means, and I don't care.
Always wear a helmet, eye protection, and protective clothing. Never ride under the influence of drugs or alcohol.

I try to do all my own work unless it is something that is covered under the warranty, then I'll let the shop deal with it.

the only time I would take my bike to a dealer is if it was under warranty and the problem was MAJOR.
I can repair any repair needed.
I have been repairing motorcycles for over 40 years. incluiding rebuilds.

I do all my own work except for warranty.
When I buy a new bike, I also negotiate for a shop repair manual, if available....and I don't mean Clymers.
