2005 Ninja ZX6R Headlights

#1 Unread post by Ray »

I just bought my bike, wondering, are both headlights supposed to be on with lowbeams?

When I turn on the highbeams, both light up. I've seen sportbikes on magazine photos with only one headlight on, so I wonder if that the way their supposed to run???

Yeah it's like that on the CBR RR too. You can thank Ducati for starting that stupid trend with the 916.

I like it like that. I personally despise H4 bulbs, the highbeams take away the close in light. I like full coverage. I think the 6R uses H7 bulbs. There's a few options for upgraded brightness for them, too.

One is low, one is high. The low beam stays on when the high beam is turned on. The spread of the high beam adds to the light that is put out by the low beam.
Of course I'm generalizing from a single example here, but everyone does that. At least I do.
