New Honda Concept CB1100F

#1 Unread post by jk333 »

I was pretty impressed, it has a lot of reminicent qualities of the old 70's 750 Fours. The only things I would change is the gas tank back to a classic style and Iwoyuld have made it wit fFour into Four exhaust. Thoughts?

When you say, 4 into 4, are you talking about like the K bikes that had 2 siamesed mufflers on each side? If so, I think that look reminds me more of the SOHC days. IMO, I think this bike would look better with a 4 into 1 look of the 400F SS or all the modified Kerker'd DOHC 750F bikes of the late 70's and the early 80s.

I agree on the gas tank. Something just does not look right on it.

This tank reminds me a little of my 75 CB400F in the basic outline.

HYPERR, it does have the Kerker pipe. Little thing sounds mean.
I would be the old, slow guy. Just let me know where you are going and I'll try to get there before you leave.

Love it. It's how motorbikes should look.

If I was in to retro/classic/cruisers - I'd be interested in this bike. It has a nice clean look to it - Very Utilitarian, yet strong.

Looks like it has liquid cooling, but I can't tell for sure. If it does that radiator looks very small (if in fact that's what it is).

My bad. At first glance, I thought it was a 4 into 2. They should make the header pipe more dramatic like your 400F SS.

I like the exhaust just the way it is, looks cleaner than the 70's four outlet style and should last longer due to reduced potential for internal rot.

Weird perhaps, but I prefer the look of the original SOHC mill.

The engine looks air/oil cooled to me.

Nice bike. :)
There is no such thing as a bad motorcycle.

Yeah, it must be air/oil cooled. I'm not quite sure what the rectangle is over the exhaust pipes on the front, but it is too small to be a radiator.
