It's no biggy to ride behind someone no matter what the gender. You guys (with the exception of maybe ElChado87), need to get over yourselves. Riding with another guy or behind your lady does not mean you are gay or a wimp.

Spoken like a true member of the other sex :)

Its not about being gay a sook or a girly man, its about maintaining the idea of what it is to be a man ;) so when other men see us they automatically know, "now there is a man". You dont want other men confused or force them to think or consider any other possibilities other then "your a man"

Ahhh....so it's all about appearances then. :)

of course it is...you should know that...all ladies know men are visual creatures :)

As the peacock has brilliant feathers to demonstrate his coolness, real men control the bike, whilst their darlings get in nice and close behind...its the way it was intended to be :) thats why all pillion seats are smaller than the riders seats, cause they not meant for men to sit on ;)

Well I must say that I do strive to look like a man on my SV. Unfortunately the SV is considered by some to be a girls bike. (Just like a Mazda Miata is a girly car  )
So on that note I strive to keep my helmet and gear as non-girly as I can.

But, I am comfortable enough with my own... sexuality that I can ride behind or have a dude behind me, so long as I don't actually look like a lady. I really don't care if somebody thinks I'm gay or not, if need be I can prove otherwise.
Unless that macho guy on another bike that thinks that I'M gay, IS gay, then maybe I might just have to ride a lil faster to my girlfriend to, ahem, assert myself.

Mazda Miata, Pontiac Sunfire, possibly the Chrysler Sebring convertible...
I used to know a guy who drove a Pontiac Sunfire... I teased him about it all the time.
Thing was, he (and I wish I was kidding here) was a 6'5" African American body builder... Most manly type of guy you'll ever meet... But yeah, he drove a Pontiac Sunfire!

Hmmm, being new to biking and not in a relationship, it doesn't mean anything to me at this time... but it sounds like an excuse for a free grope.

Exactly! I've ridden pillion on my girlfriend's bike and thought it was kinda hot actually.

Of course, I've ridden pillion behind a dude and . . . well, like racism and 3rd world debt, some things are just wrong.

I'm a control freak and really dont like riding on the back of any motorcycle. that said, sure, i'd ride behind a woman driver. I'm secure in my manhood and don't really give a rats azz what anyone else might think.
In fact I'd rather ride behind a woman than a man.

Depends on the time of the month!

Oops! did I say that?

(I'm speaking of a fairly alarming experience here.)
