Has anyone lost a riding buddy?

#1 Unread post by Locopez »

I just experinces the worst thing ever in my life last Thursday the 27th! By riding buddy.co-worker of a year....crashed and died 36 hours later.

Has anyone had to deal with this? I just rode a 100 miles today for the 1st time since...and riding seems so much like a chore...it was not fun. I think I might be done riding. :confused2:

I'm also sorry to hear that. I can understand how it would be hard, and maybe you need a break, but I dont think you should let this keep you from riding forever.

But right now there are more important things I'm sure.

Good luck to you and your friends family. Once again, sorry for your loss.

I am sorry for your loss. It can be a bit tough to want to ride after it happens.

Try giving riding a rest and come back to your bike when you feel it's time.

I lost my cousin in a motorcycle accident 2 months ago. it sucks, i know. My whole family wishes I don't ride anymore.

But I still do

I understand your loss,,really I do but you have to ask your self a question, if he was standing there what would he tell you to do,,,,quit?,,,,I don't think so, he would tell you to go and enjoy what you two had,,,the love of rideing, when you see something that's beautiful share it with him, life isn't measured in how many breaths we take,,,it's measured on what takes our breath away,,,be thankful for the time you had together, some people never get to share their good times with a True Friend.

Locopez, take the time you need, to do what you need to do. If that's not riding for the meantime, then by all means, park your bike for a bit and step back. You're certainly not in an easy situation or in one with a time line or certainties on what you'll feel and when.

Take care

Dyin'? Boy, he can have this little life any time he wants to. Do ya hear that? Are ya hearin' it? Come on. You're welcome to it, ol' timer. Let me know you're up there. Come on. Love me, hate me, kill me, anything. Just let me know it.
