I really dig that blacked out brake fluid reservoir cover.

A dog had his chain reduced one link at a time, every few days, until his chain was so short he could barely move. He never resisted because he was conditioned to the loss of his freedom slowly, over time. Are we in this country becoming like the dog?

If i were to get a cruiser, it'd be this bike. That is beautiful. I sat on one at the dealer when i was getting the 650R and almost changed my mind on the 650R. Just no way i could afford the meanie. It was the same color. It felt light and very well balanced period, not just compared to other cruisers.

And I like the chrome one on your bike! ("t-bonee" and I traded those covers last summer. They each are at home now).
Can't wait to get back out riding with you!

Another '79 KZ650 added to the list. Great bike, she'll never die.

I know!! I started up my bike today, and amazingly it had no hesitation at all. It's been sleeping since mid-December, sitting out in the elements with nothing but its cover for protection, and still... started like a champ. Took it for a ride around the village - SWEET!! Tomorrow I'll be slapping on my new black pipes. And then hopefully Scan and I will have a chance to go for a ride before the kids get home from school. Yay!
Cheers,
Loonette

Mine has only been asleep since the end of January. I managed a ride when we had a warm (meaning around 40) day at the end of Jan. literally the day before that wonderful sub-freezing and snow spell moved in for all of February. Before that it was the first weekend in December that was my last ride. But the bike fired right up without a bit of a problem and I'm hoping for the same today. I'm heading home at lunch I do believe to drop off the cage and ride the bike back to work. Sunny and 60 is just too good to pass up today.
The kids are staying at Grandmas tonight so maybe Darcy and I will take a cruise this evening as well.

2006 Vulcan 1500 fi. Just bought it yesterday and put about 40 miles on it at lunch (drove around country roads near Lyons, CO). More this weekend, weather permitting.

For those who might not read the blogs, I just upgraded (yes, upgraded!) to a Ninja 250.
