Accident site, probably a repost.

NSFW or the faint hearted. Very graphic pictures.

Kind of sobering, especially some of the very last pictures. I'll admit I'm a bit lightheaded right now but the 'No Jeans' picture has convinced me to buy a pair of riding pants as well. I wasn't planning on originally but, damn...it didn't look that bad at first until I realized just what I was looking at and that there used to be a knee cap there..

Very sobering indeed. I don't think it's enough to make me quit, though. I'm stubborn like that.

Enough to make sure I go ATGATT and watch that much harder for hazards, though.

some of those pics are fake... but that's not the point... i know.

i always wear gear but even so... there's no guarantees.

during this past several weekends i canyon rode... there was always an accident. some got airlifted, some got ambulanced, and 1 got killed.

how did it i affect me? not so much. i know the risk involved in riding.

Theres a sculpture of a man and his Scooter I guess you could call that fake. You could say that the UK road safety ad campaign is fake too.

I'd be seriously inclined to say all the other pictures there are the real deal.

If you "fudge" it up or get unlucky then you can very easily die.

I don't know about the rest of you but I accept this risk to ride because I want to live before I die, and I am not alive like i am on a bike at any other time.

More people are killed in cars every day, than on Motorcycles.
Fact.
If the person in the next lane at the stoplight rolls up the window and locks the door, support their view of life by snarling at them.

As a percentage? That's the only way that fact would mean anything to me. Otherwise it's like saying more people die in a war than doing stunts in a war movie. Fact

I wonder how many police officers die from motorcycles... that may be a good group to look at from those who've recieved extensive training... they aren't always the best example of riding but oh can they ride.

The last picture is rough. Guy looks like he was wearing full leathers. I guess it don't matter what your wearing when your number comes up.
A dog had his chain reduced one link at a time, every few days, until his chain was so short he could barely move. He never resisted because he was conditioned to the loss of his freedom slowly, over time. Are we in this country becoming like the dog?

Yah some of those last pictures are really gruesome. Like, decapitated bodies and missing limbs. There's even one where there's like half a torso still wearing the leather jacket.

I'm assuming that's the extreme, not the norm. At least I would hope so.
