I got this cool tip the other day from a relative. If you have a shopvac with the blower outlet and a reducer attachment, clear the line then use it to blow dry the bike after you've washed it. I tried this today and it worked really well. No water spots and, I didn't have to hand dry it. Not sure if this has ever been mentioned here but, thought it might be worth passing on.

I have found that compressed air manages to force water where it would, under normal operating conditions, not be able to go.

 at Buzz and Pete! Even though mine is new, it's a sad reality that my bike's been dirty pretty often. Been riding in the rain a lot and I don't feel like washing it in the rain or after a long shift at work.

Mintbread, very true and a valid concern I hadn't thought of until you reminded me of it.

I had planned on picking up a new chamois. Guess I should still grab one or two.

Mr. Clean auto dry also works well -- even more perfect for the masculine quest for absolute laziness

I just looked at those last night. How many washes do you get out that before you need a refill?

i have the auto dry... but i haven't used it for a long time.

anyway... there's an indicator on it to tell you when you need to replace the filter.

also... since you'll be using it on a bike, you should get more uses out of it.

i can't remember how many uses it can do before you need to replace the filter and re-fill the soap but im it's not more than 10 uses. but that's for a car, bike should get way more uses from it.
