My Motorcycle: 1997 Harley sportster sport 1200
Neighbor got a 2004 xlh custom 1200 and pop up oil plug doesn't seem to open, which way do you turn it or remove it when popped out? I got a 97 Sportster Sport 1200 old school pull out and told him I didn't have a clue, any body help me out?

Push it in, it should pop out, then turn to the left (counter clockwise). Takes a bit of a grip to get ahold of it. Might want to use one of those rubber jar openers. :)
