28.) I repeat #10 - Inspect your tires and set your tire pressures regularly! - Buy a decent tire gauge, check it with other known good gauges and then use it. You can improve handling, payload capacity, fuel mileage, traction, tire life, and protect those rims :D -- a fine free product reviewed elsewhere on this site in similar brevity.

ABS- Always Be Scanning.

And despite what anyone in a crash says, there is always something you could have done to protect yourself. I say that having been in a (cage) crash that, technically was their fault, but let's just say I stay much farther behind cars in front of me. Not because some sucker behind you might do something, but that idiot in front of you might decide they want to go the opposite direct .

Thanks, I skipped to the last page . My dad just told me that he and his buddies are confident ABS slows them down, says they definitely have to ride slower when training on the track, and his buddy says "I have ABS... Always Be Scanning, that's all I need!" I haven't talked to any other riders that agree about ABS (the true one), but none of them have the kind of training these guys do.

33) Do your own basic mantenance (ie. Oil and filter changes, replace spark plugs, battery and even brake fluid). It not only save you money but also gets you to know your bike.
