Great guess... yes they are! They are called Gypsy boots. I too like the round toe. I tried on plenty with square toe but none of them appealed to me. I was also after steel toe but the steel toe ones all fit a bit smaller on my foot.blues2cruise wrote:Sunshine....great looking boots. Are they by Justin? The round toes appeal to me.

Re: What did you do today...
Last night, just like Friday night, I volunteered for Operation Red Nose. Driving drunk people home, with their own vehicle. Was fun, one weekend down 4 more to go plus New Years Eve...

Well done! I have a good friend who does the same thing in Kingston Ontario every year. I applaud anyone and everyone who volunteers their time this way to help keep the roads safe.dr_bar wrote:Last night, just like Friday night, I volunteered for Operation Red Nose. Re: What did you do today...
Today we went for brekkie at McD's, then washed and waxed the car, pulled some weeds, then we both did some work (on a Sunday???), then vacuumed and mopped the whole house, then ate dinner. Now... exhausted! What a crazy day!!!
Now if only they had that service here in Texas year-round, there wouldn't be so many drunk drivers on the road...
Way to go! Thanks for doing a great thing for the community.dr_bar wrote:Last night, just like Friday night, I volunteered for Operation Red Nose. Driving drunk people home, with their own vehicle. Was fun, one weekend down 4 more to go plus New Years Eve...

I took these two beauties out on their maiden voyages today after completing each sidecar install...

That blue is gorgeous.
The black sidecar looks like it has a little smile.

Ya know, from that angle it really does. Probably just as well, because it will be carrying two kids.blues2cruise wrote:The black sidecar looks like it has a little smile.

Did you have a preference between the two?
I love the look of both, but that black one on the Wing really looks awesome...

Re: What did you do today...
Not really, no. I've never been a Wing fan and a ride on this one did nothing to change my mind. A very capable bike, for sure, and it makes for a very fine sidecar rig (it has modified triple trees to reduce trail for better handling), but I counted 56 buttons/knobs/switches within direct reach of the driver. Not my cup of tea. The Harley handled well and the colour match paint made it pure eye candy, but I much prefer my Road Glide setup. I find the Softail series to be cramped and the ergonomics do not match my needs.dr_bar wrote:Did you have a preference between the two?
Now, this little beauty I liked very much. It made my Road Glide combo feel like one of those plastic Big Wheels trikes I used to pedal around on as a wee lad....
That's a 2006 Honda ST1300 that I mated to a Hannigan Super Sport sidecar a couple months ago. It has ABS discs on all three corners and a zippy powerplant that got me up to (mumble, mumble, cough, cough)kmh in no time. The only negative point was the "knees-bent, leaning forward slightly" riding position. I can't do that one for very long before my knees lock up and my back goes into spasms.

I am in mourning for the passing of a truly great man. We knew it was coming, but it is still a punch in the gut.
I spent my therapy money an a K1200S
The therapy worked, I got a GS now
A touch of insanity crept back in the shape of an R1200R
