CELEBRATING A LEGENDARY RIDE BY TWO LEGENDARY SISTERS.

BMW Motorrad is proud to sponsor the Sisters’ Centennial Motorcycle Ride, a unique cross-country motorcycle adventure, and would like to see more BMW riders join in. All BMW riders who sign up to participate in a day ride, a leg, or the entire journey by June 15th will receive a free gift. The ride commemorates the 100th anniversary of the Van Buren sisters’ historic motorcycle ride across the US. Their goal: to show that women could be military motorcycle couriers. It was a bold undertaking in 1916, three years before women had the right to vote, and it made the Van Buren sisters a brave, adventurous inspiration for young women across the nation. The ride retraces the sisters’ journey, beginning July 3 in Brooklyn, NY, and concluding July 23 in San Francisco, CA, and will raise awareness and funding for two charities: Final Salute, Inc. and the Women’s Coalition of Motorcyclists. All riders are encouraged to participate in the journey, we hope you’ll sign up to ride!
