Motorcycle Show #Toronto Will Get #Ontario's Motor Running

TORONTO, Feb. 4, 2016 /CNW/ - For Ontario's riding enthusiasts, it's not groundhogs on a cloudy day that signifies spring is just around the corner. What gets their motor running is the arrival of the Motorcycle Show-Toronto presented by Dalton Timmis Insurance, riding into the Enercare Centre, Exhibition Place, February 19-21.
The 29th edition of the Show is Toronto's stop on the motorcycle manufacturers' national seven-city tour, which kicked off earlier this year in Western Canada. It showcases the industry's biggest brands, their newest models, and the latest technical innovations for motorcycles, ATVs, side-by-sides and scooters, along with riding gear, accessories and travel destinations.
In additional to the more than 500 bikes on display, there are thrilling stunt shows, beginner riding lessons for children, a special night for female riders, and two big draws for new motorcycles.
This year's highlights include:
2016 Triumph Street Twin Grand Prize Draw: One lucky Toronto Motorcycle Show-goer will win a new 2016 Triumph Street Twin, with the keys awarded on the third and final day of the Show.
She Rides Nite: Women are taking to motorcycle riding at a record pace and we'll celebrate that on the Friday evening of the Show (Feb. 19). She Rides Nite features half-price Show admission for ladies after 5 pm, and industry experts will be on hand to provide information and advice specific to the needs of the female rider. There's a ladies-only draw that night to win a new 2016 Kawasaki Ninja 300.
Friday night parking is free for show-goers after 5pm.
Team Empire Freestyle Stunt Team: Team Empire features American freestyle riders Nick "Apex" Brocha and Ernie "EDub" Vigil, who travel the world showcasing their motorcycle stunt-riding prowess before live audiences. They have built a large online following, where their popular chase adventure videos have totaled over 100 million YouTube hits.
Yamaha Riding Academy For Kids: This popular feature introduces children, aged 6-12, to the wonderful world of riding in 15-minute sessions with certified instructors and riding gear provided.
The Harley-Davidson® JUMPSTART™ Rider Experience: JUMPSTART combines a Harley-Davidson motorcycle and a specially designed stationary support stand that allows participants to fire up the engine, give the throttle a twist, and hear that unforgettable Harley sound - under the watchful eye of trained personnel – without turning a wheel.
Yamaha's "How To" Demos: One of Canada's leading motorcycle training authorities, Clinton Smout, brings his expertise to Toronto in the Yamaha "How To" demos with informative sessions educating riders on how to safely navigate challenges like riding on gravel roads and over obstacles.
Ontario Provincial Police Golden Helmets: The OPP's Motorcycle Precision Team has been performing across the province for over 50 years, and they will showcase their superb riding skills aboard their fleet of Harley-Davidson Police Specials.
The Motorcycle Show-Toronto presented by Dalton Timmis Insurance is produced by Power Sport Services. This is the Show where enthusiasts will get their first live look at the new 2016 models set in impressive displays from the biggest brands in the business, including Aprilia, BMW Motorrad, Can-Am BRP, Harley-Davidson, Ducati, Honda, Husqvarna, Indian, Kawasaki, KTM, Moto Guzzi, Piaggio, Polaris, Suzuki, Triumph, Vespa, Victory, and Yamaha.
