@Guerrero and @Martini deliver strong end to #Yamaha’s 2015 @EWC campaign

Fighting for top six results on both days of the GP of France Team Yamaha Miglio's Cristobal Guerrero and Gianluca Martini rounded out 2015 on a positive note.
At the final round of the 2015 Enduro World Championship, held in the small town of Requista in France, Yamaha Racing riders Cristobal Guerrero and Gianluca Martini battled it out in the highly competitive Enduro 1 class.
With rain making conditions challenging on day one, it took some time for Cristobal Guerrero to feel comfortable in the slippery, wet special tests. Once settled the Spaniard started to show good speed, ending the opening day in seventh place. Things continued to improve on day two with Cristobal winning the battle with his teammate Gianluca Martini to place sixth.
Ending his rookie EWC season on a high Guerrero's teammate Gianluca Martini collected two more top 10 finishes in Enduro 1. The Italian rider had a slow start to the GP of France finishing ninth on day one. Managing to improve his times on day two, Gianluca finished seventh. Completing a solid year aboard the Yamaha WR250F Martini stayed away from trouble and finished every one of the 14 days of racing.
Due to a hand injury sustained at the recent International Six Days Enduro in Slovakia Yamaha Racing's Marc Bourgeois was unable to compete in the EWC's final round, his home race of the series, and missed valuable points.
After a six-year absence from the highest level of enduro competition Yamaha made a strong statement in 2015 thanks to the efforts of Marc Bourgeois, Cristobal Guerrero and Gianluca Martini. Competing on the revolutionary WR250F the trio of Yamaha riders rounded up the season sixth, seventh and an eighth respectively in Enduro 1.

Cristobal Guerrero

"It was a tough GP with difficult special tests. These kind of grass fields don't suit my style. I crashed two times in the motocross test on day one and lost a lot of time. On day two I managed to improve my time in the enduro test. We need to improve and I hope that next season I can be fighting for the podium again. It's really positive that we have a great bike on which we can keep on working."

Gianluca Martini

"I really enjoyed the GP of France. Day one didn't start that well. I made a mistake and crashed in the Extreme Test. I felt much better on day two. My times in the Enduro Test were close to Cristobal's. It's been a learning year for me and I can't thank enough my team for their great support. We managed to improve a lot in 2015 and this motivates me to try even harder next year."
