What was the strategy for the Aragon race?

We knew that both riders were very strong here, so the strategy was for both to push from the beginning to avoid Jorge - who also had a very strong pace - creating a gap in the first laps. Unfortunately in doing so, Marc pushed a little too much and lost the front. Dani made a great start from the second row, but lost a little bit of time to overtake Iannone and then… it was too late to stay with Jorge. Anyway he did a superb race fighting with Valentino and beating him for the second place.

Positive and negative points after the race?

Positive for sure to see Dani so strong until the end of the race and especially in the fight with Vale. We all know that Valentino is super strong in the battle but today Dani was able to recover everytime he overtook him and they built up a great show! The negative is clearly the crash of Marc… he was super strong with used tires, so we knew that at the end of the race he would have been very fast but… there was no chance to see this in the race. Anyway this is racing!

The view from pit wall during the race?

We were happy with the start of both our guys, and then super sorry for the crash of Marc. During the race we were really pleased to see Dani so determined in his fight with Vale! I almost had a heart attack in the last chicane, when Dani was very close to crashing! We are really so happy for him and his crew!

Inside story apart from official comments?

Our technicians are working very hard to improve the machine, and here in Aragon we had a new swing arm to try. Both Dani and Marc tested it during the practice sessions and they both liked it. In fact they used it for the race. It is not the easiest season in the history of the Repsol Honda Team but… we never give up and we will keep working hard for the future!!
