#Race-ready @Yamaha #YZF-R1 Returns to World #Superbike Challenge
Yamaha Motor Europe has the media buzzing with the announcement of the company's next step towards success in its comprehensive road racing challenge.
Yesterday it was announced that, besides competing in FIM Endurance World Championship, FIM Superstock 1000 Cup, MCE Insurance British Superbike Championship and Superbike*IDM International German Superbike, Yamaha will make its official return to the World Superbike Championship in 2016.
Yamaha Motor Europe will hunt for glory in the premier production Superbike series for the first time since 2011 and has a card up its sleeve; the new YZF-R1.
For those who can't keep their curiosity in check until the start of the next season, Yamaha Racing offers a sneak preview. Sit back and watch the Superbike prototype YZF-R1 in action for the first time during the 2015 pre-season shakedown at Circuit d'Alcarras back in March.
