Strong start to @Yamaha's @ISDE campaign

#Australian #Yamaha #riders have made an impressive start on the opening of the 2015 International Six Day Enduro (ISDE) held in Slovakia with US based, Daniel Milner leading the Yamaha charge on his YZ450F.

Milner, contest the E2 championship on his 450cc machine, endured an eventful day that sees him running third outright in the international field after winning two special tests from the six conducted, but also falling in another damaging his headlight. Coming off an injury and illness interrupted season in the US, Milner is determined to get back to top form and better his previous best of a class win and second outright in the 2013 event.

He is well placed after the opening day and understands that there is a lot of racing to be done over the next five days and anything can happen at an event like this.

Josh Green current lies in 10th pace Outright and right at the pointy end of the E1 class (250cc) after the first day of racing on his Yamaha WR250F. Green had an early start time and had to battle slippery conditions but picked up the pace as the day wore on. His afternoon performance snared several top 10 results in the special tests and now sits fifth in E2. Green will be looking to pick up where he left off and continue to climb the leader board on day two.

Talya Jones again turned heads with her outstanding riding and leads the Women's class after day one. A small fall and a broken hand guard were the only blemish in her day and she continues to show the world she is a great talent on her Yamaha YZ250FX.

Jones has an extremely successful domestic season here in Australia, dominating nearly every event she has entered and is on track to replicate her Australian success in Slovakia.

On hand supporting the Yamaha riders in Slovakia is Active8 Yamaha Team Manager, AJ Roberts.

"Day one at the ISDE is always busy but we have got off to a reasonable start and the riders all seem happy with their bikes and the conditions.

"It's only very earlier stages but already Daniel, Josh and Tayla have shown they have what it takes to race at a world level and all of them are legitimate contenders to win a world championship in the respective classes.

"Conditions today were pretty good with some rain during the day but that can change in a hurry over here. Everyone is away safely and we look forward to a successful event," Roberts ends.

The ISDE is a unique event and the jewel in the crown of off road dirt bike racing. A grueling six day event that will see riders compete over a range of trial and special test sections in a variety of conditions over six full days of racing tests man and machine to the limit. It truly does determine the world's best off road racers.
