STREET STUNTS AND AERIAL ACTION 2015 Motorcycle Show – #Calgary


CALGARY, AB (December 22, 2014) – The doors to the 2015 Motorcycle Show – Calgary presented by Dalton Timmis Insurance, open at noon on Friday, January 9th and remain open until 5:00 pm on Sunday, January 11th, 2015. The Show takes place at the BMO Centre, Stampede Park.
Motorcycle enthusiasts will be treated to an extensive showcase of new 2015 makes and models of ATV’s, motorcycles, and scooters at the Motorcycle Show – Calgary. Be one of the first to check out all that is new for 2015 and place your order to ensure your new ride arrives in time for the season ahead.
“When you hear names like Tsunami, Heart Attack, and Kiss of Death there is very likely some element of danger involved,” says Show Manager, Laurie Paetz, “these are just a few of the tricks audiences will be treated to at the Evolution of Extreme Thrill Show. These stunts and many others are sure to get your blood coursing through your veins and heart racing.”
This talented team of MX Freestylers thrive on the excitement that performing offers. The Evolution of Extreme Thrill Show team features some of the top ranked North American Freestylers, many of whom ride for the Metal Mulisha. This year’s team consists of Keith Sayers, Nick Dunne, Todd Potter and native Albertan’s Billy Kohut and Dylan McMorran. This group of riders love what they do, and it shines through in their performances, making for great family entertainment.
Joining the Show again this year is Team Empire, sponsored by Parts Canada. Ernie “EDub” Vigil and Nick “Apex” Brocha are two of the boldest Street Freestylers around. These guys continually push the limits entertaining audiences the world over.
Long gone are the days when motorcycles are considered toys for boys. The increase in female ridership has seen steady growth over the last decade and in celebration of that we offer half price admission to all females on Friday, January 9th after 5:00 pm. The evening will be filled with information and entertainment with a focus on the ladies. Industry experts will be on hand to answer questions and provide their professional advice on bikes, accessories, apparel, just for her. Valerie Thompson will be making a special guest appearance thanks to BMW Motorrad . She is a seven time land speed record holder who is eager to meet other women riders and share her unique story and experience of a female in a male dominated industry. There is no better way to cap off the evening than having one of the ladies in attendance walk away with a brand new 2015 Kawasaki EX300 valued at over $6,000. The grand prize is provided by Canadian Kawasaki, Blackfoot Motosports, Pro AM Motorcycles and Bow Cycle.

The Canadian Vintage Motorcycle Association will provide classic motorcycle enthusiasts with a blast from the past. The exhibit will showcase a variety of makes and models, many of which have not only been restored but collected and maintained by their passionate owners who are always eager to chat with fellow collectors and non-collectors alike.
The Yamaha Riding Academy is a highlight for many of the youngsters attending the Show. This program is designed to introduce 6 to 12 year olds to the sport. Not only will they receive professional instruction on the basics but they will get the chance to gear up and take to the track in a fun, safe, and non-threatening environment. These sessions fill up quickly so be sure to stop by early to secure your child’s spot.
The Alberta Trials Rider’s Association demonstrations are a true test of a rider’s skill and agility. Watch as these talented riders manoeuvre over obstacles using a variety of techniques without their feet every touching the ground. This discipline pairs a rider’s nerves of steel with balance and control.
The Show wraps up on Sunday with the chance for one of the Grand Prize Qualifiers to start off the riding season in style, on a brand new 2015 Special Edition Triumph Bonneville Newchurch, provided by Triumph Motorcycles and Blackfoot Motosports. The winner will be determined through an elimination style draw. The Grand Prize motorcycle is valued at $10,000 and is one of only 25 available in Canada.
