CALGARY, AB – The Motorcycle Show – Calgary presented by Dalton Timmis Insurance takes place January 9-11, 2015 at the

BMO Centre, Stampede Park. The doors open at noon on Friday and remain open until 5:00 pm on Sunday.
This is the only opportunity that Southern Albertans will have to check out the 2015 showcase of new makes and models of ATV’s, motorcycles and scooters, all at one convenient location.
The Show kicks off on Friday with SHE Rides Nite. After 5:00 pm all female attendees will receive half price admission. “Every year we see more and more women getting involved in riding and we wanted to not only create an environment that was female friendly but also catered to their specific needs,” says Laurie Paetz, Show Manager, ”industry experts will be available to provide information and advice specific to the riding needs of the female rider.”
To provide a little inspiration to show goers, BMW Motorrad hosts Valerie Thompson, seven time land speed record holder with a special appearance. She is happy to share her story and experiences of a female in a male dominated industry. To top off the evening one lucky lady will win a 2015 Kawasaki EX300 valued at over $6,000 courtesy of Canadian Kawasaki, Blackfoot Motosports, Pro AM Motorcycles and Bow Cycle.
Don’t miss the action packed Evolution of Extreme Thrill Show featuring some North American’s best MX Freestyle performers. These daredevils fearlessly fly through the air, tempting fate, as they execute tricks that are not for the faint of heart. The thunderous sound of the engines as they approach the ramps is followed by the eerie silence as they become airborne, creates an exciting ambience. Team Empire, sponsored by Parts Canada will join the show to astound audiences with the jaw dropping, show stopping antics they call “street stunts”.
If you want to bring your heart rate down a stroll through the Canadian Vintage Motorcycle display might just do the trick. Admire the workmanship and design ingenuity of motorcycles that are classics. The owners are passionate about their bikes and have been collected and restored to their original glory, for all to enjoy.
The Alberta Trials Rider’s Association demonstrations are a must see. Trials riding is a test of skill as riders navigate their way through a course of obstacles including logs, teeter totters, and railway ties without letting their feet touch the ground. The control and balance that these riders demonstrate is truly amazing.
Harley Davidson Motor Company has recently revealed Project Livewire™ - the first Harley-Davidson® electric motorcycle. Be one of the first to give it a try at the JUMPSTART ® demo area. Show goers will be given an opportunity to hop on and start it up right at the show. (more)
