ROBERT WINS FIRST CAREER #ENDUROCROSS SERIES #RACE

Factory #FMF/KTM rider Taylor Robert took his first-ever AMA EnduroCross Series main event win at the XFINITY Arena, the sixth round of the series.
Robert was consistent in the morning qualifying laps turning times within the top three results. He was placed in the third heat of the night show where he took the holeshot and went on to lead each lap to take the win and a transfer spot in the main event.
Red Bull KTM Factory rider Taddy Blazusiak was placed in the first heat. He had a bad gate pick but still managed to pull a second place start and finished the race in that spot to qualify to the main event.

When the gate dropped for the main event, Blazusiak had a great jump but went down in the first corner. Robert was up front in second behind Cody Webb.
Blazusiak quickly recovered from his last place position to move into fourth by the end of the first lap. He soon found himself challenging Robert for second but he crashed again and that dropped him back to fifth. At that point, Webb and Robert began to pull away from the rest of the field. Robert moved into the lead when Webb crashed in the rocks with a few laps to go and carried it to the flag for a hard earned victory. Blazusiak moved up one more position to finish fourth for the night.

“It feels great to get a win tonight,” stated Robert. “I have been working really hard and seeing a lot of progress and it has finally paid off.”

Blazusiak was also also philosophical about his first round off the podium in 2014, saying: “It wasn’t the best of nights for sure as we had a lot of problems. “We have a few weeks to regroup and will come back strong for Boise."
Next Event: November 15, 2014 – Boise, ID
