ATLANTA (July 18, 2014) - AMA Pro Road Racing arrives at Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course in Lexington, Ohio, for a two-day doubleheader of racing, July 19-20, for the Buckeye Superbike Weekend. The winding, technical track features 15 turns around a 2.4-mile circuit with fantastic vantage points for spectators and promises to make for another exciting, fast-paced schedule.
The AMA Pro GoPro Daytona SportBike riders are in a tight battle heading into Rounds Seven and Eight of the racing season. Danny Eslick and the #69 Riders Discount Racing / Triumph team leads the class of Triumph riders with a total of 130 championship points, just nine points shy of the leader Jake Gagne. Coming off the pole position at Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca, Jason DiSalvo and the #40 Sportbike Tracktime / Castrol / Triumph team is gaining ground and holds position in the top ten with 67 points.
