30 January 2014 - Honda's new 2014 TRX500FM1 and TRX500FM2 which will replace the former TRX500FM and TRX500FPM, will be more rugged than ever when they reach Australia in March 2014* thanks to a host of new features.

Built to make hard work easier, for 2014 Honda's TRX500FM1 and TRX500FM2 boast engine advancements, a new stronger chassis, updated suspension and re-designed styling.

For better handling and a smoother ride an all-new double-cradle steel frame has been developed with Computer Aided Engineering and the suspension has been tuned for an improved connection between rider and machine. In addition, a brand new enclosed axle swingarm has been developed to balance and optimise strength and rigidity which, along with a new softer seat, improves rider comfort.

To keep riders out of tricky situations, an all-new electronic front differential TraxLok® selectable 4WD system has been developed. TraxLok® lets riders switch between two-wheel drive and four-wheel drive with the push of a button and now there's an option to lock the front differential solid, driving full power to all wheels, which is particularly useful in rocky or uneven terrain.

Revised mapping for the electronic fuel injection program gives the strong liquid-cooled 475cc, single-cylinder, OHV, four-stroke engine improved power delivery and throttle response as well as increased fuel efficiency. An in-tank fuel pump has also been adopted to increase reliability.

All of these new features have been wrapped up in new aggressively styled bodywork that not only looks good, but has been designed to protect riders from mud and other debris and to hold up in the harsh Australian conditions.

Honda's TRX500FM2 boasts the addition of Honda's Electric Power Steering (EPS) which is designed with torque and speed sensors to reduce steering effort and rider fatigue when the going gets tough.

Sure to set themselves even further from the competition in 2014, Honda's new TRX500FM1 and TRX500FM2 embody the Honda quality and reliability which is second to none.
