Team #Honda #Racing Get You Set To Race @Honda's #CBR1000RR SP

20 January 2014 - Honda's one-off, track-focused CBR1000RR SP will be delivered to a selected few complete with the option of Team Honda Racing's Motologic race set-up. For an incredibly affordable package price, each CBR1000RR SP can be sent to the headquarters of Team Honda Racing for personalised suspension set-up and dyno tuning.

Due for arrival into Australia in March 2014+, the CBR1000RR SP will be available in strictly limited numbers. For information regarding the availability of this special edition motorcycle please contact Honda Customer Relations on (03) 9270 1348 or customer.relations@hondampe.com.au

In what is an incredibly unique offer, the Team Honda Racing mechanics will tailor the set-up of each CBR1000RR SP to the individual requirements of each customer and provide a certificate with the details of the dyno reading and suspension set-up to assist with future servicing. This race set-up option is available for $1,499^ which is in addition to the CBR1000RR SP's MLP* of $22,499.

With anticipation high for this one-off Honda development, the CBR1000RR SP boasts Öhlins front and rear suspension, Brembo mono block front brake callipers and a single seat unit. With an aggressive track stance, Honda's road-legal CBR1000RR SP offers more balanced handling than ever before.

The 999.8cc inline, four-cylinder engine shares the same updated cylinder head as the standard 2014 CBR1000RR Fireblade, along with improved inlet/exhaust gas flow and combustion efficiency, and an extra peak power boost.

The CBR1000RR SP's die-cast aluminium twin-spar frame is based on that of the standard machine, with modifications to match the Öhlins suspension. As on the CBR1000RR the aluminium gull-wing swingarm operates through MotoGP-derived Unit Pro-Link rear suspension. Fully adjustable, the 43mm inverted fork and rear shock were developed specifically for the CBR1000RR SP to offer superbly balanced all-round performance.

Brembo mono block four-piston callipers were chosen because of their compatibility and performance potential with the Öhlins fork. The calliper body is standard but Brembo manufactured special pistons for use in the new machine, with pad material designed to give consistent and linear feel when braking hard from high speed.

Cutting a striking form on the track or road, Honda's CBR1000RR SP with its sleek single seat unit, features unique Tricolour livery that is complemented by Pirelli Diablo Supercorsa SP gold tyres.

The strictly limited CBR1000RR SP model will only be available once, be quick to secure yours today.
