EDMONTON, AB (January 3, 2014) – The Motorcycle & ATV Show – Edmonton is right around the corner. It is scheduled to take place January 17-19, 2014 at the Edmonton Expo Centre, Northlands. This is the only opportunity for Central Albertan’s to check out the showcase of new 2014 motorcycles, scooters and ATVs from the industry’s leading manufacturers including Honda, Suzuki, Yamaha, Kawasaki, BMW, Triumph, Harley Davidson, Indian, CAN-AM (BRP), KTM, Piaggio, Victory, Arctic Cat, and Polaris. The Show runs from noon Friday, January 17th to 5:00 Sunday, January 19th.
“Friday evening is an exclusive opportunity for female riders to talk to the industry experts that are tuned into their specific needs, no matter what her level of expertise or riding style is,” says Laurie Paetz, Western Show Manager, “The number of female participating in the sport has been steadily rising over the past decade and we wanted to pay homage to this growing market by hosting the 8th annual She Rides Nite, on Friday, January 17th.”
Ladies will receive half price admission to the Show after 5:00 pm and be treated to a non-intimidating environment, providing information and offering everything from aftermarket accessories, training courses, gear and apparel, touring destinations, as well as riding clubs and associations. To wrap up the evening in style one lucky lady will leave the show with a Kawasaki 2014 Ninja 300 valued at $5400.00 sponsored by Canadian Kawasaki and your local Edmonton Kawasaki dealers.
The Alberta Vintage Flat Track Association, Vintage MX Group and NORAL will be bringing in an impressive display of vintage and collector motorcycles for all to enjoy, some almost a century old. Take a stroll through the display and appreciate the sheer beauty of these machines.
Canadian National Observed Trials Champion Jordan Szoke will be demonstrating his well-honed skills, by navigating through a variety of obstacles without a seat or letting his feet touch the ground. The balance, strength and control Trials riders possess is nothing short of remarkable.
If your interest in the sport leans more towards the track and speed then you many want to take the opportunity to meet Ethan Barkley, 13 time National Motorcycle Drag Racing Champion. Ethan recently represented Canada at the World Finals in Florida where he ran a career best of 7.364 reaching a speed of 193.29 mph. He will be available at the Parts Canada/Drag Specialties booth throughout the Show.
