DEFYING GRAVITY – The #CalgaryMotorcycleShow

CALGARY, AB (December 19, 2013) – The Motorcycle Show – Calgary will roll into the BMO Centre, Stampede Park January 10th, 2014. All the major manufacturers will showcase their new 2014 models of motorcycles, scooters and ATVs at what is touted as the industries premiere event. The Show starts at noon on Friday, January 10th and runs through until 5:00 Sunday, January 12th.
“Not only do we bring in hundreds of new 2014 models for all to see for the first time,” says Laurie Paetz, Western Show Manager, “but we also provide an entertainment experience for the whole family, highlighted by the must see Evolution of Extreme Thrill Show featuring world renowned stunt riders and MX Freestylers.”
This feature continues to wow the “adrenaline junkie” in all of us. Year after year these riders up the ante and perform jumps, tricks and stunts that seem to defy the laws of gravity. Four of North America’s biggest names in MXF will perform for Calgary show goers including, Brian McCarty, Cody Elkins, Drake McElroy and Keith Sayers. These daredevils will perform popular tricks including Captain Morgan, Rock Solid, Cliff Hanger, Kiss of Death Superman, and Tsunami with ease. To add another dimension to this year’s Show and ensure there is no break in the action, Parts Canada is presenting Team Empire stunt riders Ernie “Edub” Vigil and Nick “Apex” Brocha to amaze audiences with their own “street style” stunts.
In an effort to offer something for every member of the family, the 2014 Motorcycle Show – Calgary kicks off with She Rides Nite on Friday, January 10th. Ladies receive half price admission after 5:00 and will be treated to a female friendly environment catering specifically to their needs. The evening will cap off when one very fortunate lady will ride away on a 2014 Kawasaki Ninja 300 valued at $5400.00 sponsored by Canadian Kawasaki and your local Calgary Kawasaki dealers.
The kids will not be left in the dust if they sign up for a session at the Yamaha Riding Academy. This hands on learn to ride experience takes place in a controlled, safe environment and is a big hit for those ages 6-12 years. All gear is supplied and instruction is provided by skilled instructors. Taking to the track at the show is a highlight for many youngsters.
Take the opportunity to see demonstrations of the lesser known motorsport discipline of Observed Trials, a true test of skill that bears a resemblance to the agility, strength and balancing prowess of a seasoned gymnast.
