#Suzuki Dominates At Mt Gambier #Supercross

Team @Motul @Pirelli @Suzuki rider Matt Moss overcame a huge crash at Mt Gambier to score enough points to maintain his lead in the 2013 Terex Australian Supercross Championship.

The return of the Supercross Championship to South Australia for the first time in five years saw the Suzuki RM-Z450 dominate proceedings with Josh Hill saluting the judges at the end of the main event.

Moss' twin brother Jake - on board the Campbell Mining Suzuki RM-Z450 - rode a superb race to finish third and maintain his perfect podium run, meaning Suzuki's filled three of the top five places.

Matt maintained his brilliant run of form early in the event, winning the opening heat and qualifying second for the main event.

It proved a thrilling race, with Matt grabbing the holeshot and leading for the first few circuits of the 20-lap event, before his big crash in the rhythm section of the course.

Dropping to 13th, he was determined to salvage maximum points from the round and carved his way back through the class field to finish fifth overall.

Hill took advantage of Matt's misfortune and never surrendered the lead in a convincing win, with Jake Moss rounding out the top three.
The Moss brothers still now sit one and two atop the Supercross leader board, with Matt on 66 points and Jake on 62, while Hill's strong result pushed him up to fourth.

Team manager Jay Foreman praised his young charge's gutsy ride.

"It was a big crash and it could have been a disastrous weekend for us, but he put his head down and got on with the job of securing as many points as possible.

"Fifth place was a huge result and, most importantly, maintains his lead in the championship. It means we head to the next round confident that our best is good enough to keep the Suzuki RM-Z450 at the top of the table where it belongs," said Foreman.

The series returns to Phillip Island this weekend, as part of the double-header alongside the Australian Motorcycle Grand Prix.
