Round 13 - Marq keeps #Honda championship lead by 34 points

Jorge Lorenzo won his second successive race of in #Misano, the Repsol Honda Team achieved the eighth double podium in 2013 and Marc Marquez increased his advantage in the championship, now sitting 34 points ahead of Lorenzo and Pedrosa. What is your assessment of the race weekend?

It has been a good weekend, even if this time Jorge has been untouchable in the race! Marc and Dani built up a great show, with a great battle for second position. We need to work hard to start winning again!

Marquez, Pedrosa and Lorenzo have filled seven podiums out of 13 races so far this season, since Indianapolis no other rider has been able to get on the podium. It looks like Marquez is in a very good position in his battle for the title and for Dani and Jorge will be very hard to reduce these 34 points. How do you see the last five races?

With 5 races to go, it is still too early to think about the Championship. Marc, Dani and Jorge at the moment seem to be in another league, and it means they can finish on the rostrum each given Sunday, therefore I think it will be a great battle between them until the end. This is good for the fans, less for our blood pressure!

Marquez said in Misano that he will start thinking about the title now, but he wants to keep his style. Do you think is it the best strategy to maintain his incredible level in competition?

I think already here in Misano Marc showed to be able to manage the situation. In the practice he had the best pace, and he did an unbelievable pole position, but during the race, with Jorge faster than expected, he did a great job finishing second without trying too hard to win.

Dani won last year in Aragon, Malaysia, Japan and Valencia, four of the five races remaining. How do you see his chances for the title?

I believe Dani also has a good chance to fight until the end! This season has been influenced by the injury in Sachsenring, but now he is fit again and ready to show all his speed and experience in circuits that he loves.

One of the main topics of the weekend has been the new Yamaha seamless gearbox. Is it a new challenge for the Repsol Honda Team?

This is racing! We love the never-ending development process of racing and we need strong competitors to prove our capability!

The Team stayed one extra day in Misano for the last test before the end of the season. Can you give us some information about it?

Marc and Dani tested the 2014 prototype and also a new swingarm for their actual RCV. Our engineers are happy with the feedback they got from the new component and we hope to have found something good for the final part of this season and also for 2014!
