#FIXI CRESCENT #SUZUKI LINES-UP FOR #GOODWOOD

Team Suzuki Press Office - June 28.

FIXI Crescent Suzuki will be at the world famous Goodwood 'Festival of Speed' in West Sussex, England, between July 12th and 14th, supported by celebrated machines and riders from Crescent Racing's past.

Leon Camier and Jules Cluzel will be leading the way onboard the FIXI Crescent Suzuki GSX-R1000, taking a break from the cut-and-thrust of world-class racing to demonstrate the bike to the thousands of fans that flock to see the world's most famous racing cars and motorcycles, from the past and present, tackle the renowned 1.16 mile Goodwood Hill. Cluzel will appear at the event on Friday 12th and Saturday 13th with Camier making his appearance on the final day of the festival.

Joining the FIXI Suzuki racers will be two important riders and machines from Crescent Motorcycles' racing history. The 2004 British Superbike Champion John Reynolds will be re-united with his Rizla Suzuki GSX-R1000, on which he secured the championship at the last event of the season after six race wins and a run of 11 consecutive podiums. Reynolds is one of only a handful of riders to have competed at Grand Prix, World Superbike and British Superbike levels - 'JR' is a true gentleman and legend of British racing.

Crescent Suzuki's second star will be Chris Walker on his year 2000 GSX-R750. He came agonisingly close to the title that year after an epic season-long battle with Neil Hodgson. Sadly for Walker, an engine failure with just three-laps remaining of the final race of the season at Donington Park cost him what looked like a certain title for him and the team. Walker was left distraught, in what has become one of the most iconic moments from British Superbike racing, but the fans' memories of some fantastic racing is what remains. He is another racer to have competed in all three classes - the same as Reynolds - and secured his best World Superbike result by taking second at Brands Hatch in 2000 onboard the very bike he will be riding at Goodwood.

Camier, Cluzel, Reynolds and Walker will join a whole host of other stars from the two-wheeled world including John Surtees, Kenny Roberts, Kevin Schwantz, Freddie Spencer and Giacomo Agostini, as motorcycle racing's great and good from years-gone-by, right up to the present day, mix with cars and famous drivers from F1 and many other forms of four-wheel motorsport. Displays of Supercars and rare and exotic vehicles will be on show at Goodwood, as well as a fly-past by The Red Arrows and even a visit by the real-life stars of 'Wacky Races'!
